Kelly B. Houghton

Kelly B. Houghton is an accomplished professional in exhibition management and the arts with significant experience spanning over two decades. Since October 2020, Kelly has served as the owner of The Philosophy House, an art space in Phillipsburg, NJ, dedicated to the local arts community. As an Exhibition Manager for the American Museum of Natural History since December 2007, Kelly has overseen global exhibition installations, collaborating with international museum crews. Freelance work has included various restoration projects and exhibition preparations. In 2022, Kelly co-curated science and history exhibitions at The Everhart Museum and The H.M. Flagler Museum, enhancing creative skills in research and design. Previous roles include Exhibit Specialist and Exhibition Manager at the Smithsonian Institution and set painting for numerous film and television productions. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
