Angela Taylor, CAE has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Angela recently joined the American Organization for Nursing Leadership as the Senior Director of Marketing Communications and Membership Engagement in April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Society for Vascular Surgery from 2017 to 2021, where they held roles such as Director of Membership, Marketing & Communications, Interim Membership, Marketing & Communications Director, and Director of Membership Engagement. Before that, they were employed at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons from 2014 to 2017, serving as the Director of Member Engagement and Director of CV Administration. Angela also has experience working at the Congress of Neurological Surgeons from 2009 to 2014, where they held positions like Manager of Member Services and Membership Development Coordinator. Angela started their career at the American Hardware Manufacturers Association as a Membership Coordinator from 2006 to 2009, where they developed retention and recruitment strategies, collaborated with the marketing department, and analyzed membership statistics. Prior to that, Angela worked at Northwestern University - School of Music as the Managing Director of the National High School Music Institute and Coordinator of Undergraduate Admission from 2004 to 2006. Angela'searliest work experience was at the North Carolina School of the Arts - School of Music, where they served as the Manager of Enrollment from 1998 to 2004, expanding student inquiries and applications through a direct mail campaign and building relationships with educators and guidance counselors.
Angela Taylor, CAE, holds a Master of Music degree in Music Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, which they obtained from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Performance from DePaul University, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their educational background, Angela has obtained various certifications, including a Certificate of Completion in Taking Effective and Accurate Meeting Minutes from the American Management Association in December 2016, and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in January 2020.
