Erik Martin Dnp, Rn, Cenp, Faan

Erik Martin, DNP, RN, CENP, FAAN has a diverse range of work experience in the nursing and healthcare field. Erik is currently serving as the President of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership since January 2022. Prior to this role, they were the President Elect from 2020 to 2021. Erik also served as the Director of the Board of Directors, Region 5 from 2017 to 2019, and was an Appointed Board Member from 2014 to 2016.

In terms of hospital management, Erik served as the Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Norton Children's Hospital, a renowned pediatric care facility, since December 2018. Erik held the position of Clinical Director of the Cardiovascular Service Line at The Christ Hospital Health Network from April 2016 to November 2018.

Prior to their management roles, Erik gained extensive experience as a Registered Nurse. Erik served as the Clinical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center from April 2008 to April 2016. Before this, they were a Clinical Manager from November 2007 to April 2008, and a Registered Nurse III from July 2000 to November 2007 at the same hospital.

Additionally, Erik worked as a Registered Nurse at TriHealth from May 2000 to July 2001.

Erik Martin DNP, RN, CENP, FAAN has an impressive education history in the field of nursing. Erik obtained their Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nursing Administration from Mount St. Joseph University, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Science in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University, attending from 2005 to 2007. Erik also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science from Mount St. Joseph University, which they acquired from 2002 to 2005. Additionally, they obtained a Diploma in Nursing Science from Good Samaritan College of Nursing & Health Science, completing their studies from 1997 to 2000.

Erik has further enhanced their knowledge and expertise by acquiring various certifications. Erik is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, which they achieved in October 2022. Erik is also Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) by the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), earning this certification in May 2018. Moreover, they hold the designation of Certified Nurse Manager Leader from the same institution, received in March 2012. Finally, Erik obtained a certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in July 2002.
