Melanie Stanton, CAE, CFRE, DES, currently serves as Senior Director of Development & Individual Giving at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine since October 2021. Prior to this role, Stanton held the position of Vice President of Education & Meetings at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases from 2020 to 2021, where responsibilities included directing education initiatives and managing meetings logistics. Between 2016 and 2020, Stanton was Director of Programs and Development at the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, overseeing educational content and Continuing Medical Education programs. Before that, from 2014 to 2016, Stanton served as Executive Director of Turfgrass Producers International, where operational management and education initiatives were key focuses. Stanton's earlier experience includes working as Accreditation Manager at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and as Account Executive/Executive Director at The Sherwood Group. Stanton holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwestern University.
