Farah Dawood

Farah Dawood is a seasoned professional with a strong background in program management and research in the fields of chemistry and nanotechnology. Currently serving as Senior Program Manager and Chapters Program Manager at the American Physical Society since February 2020, Farah has previously held an Assistant Professor position at Hamilton College from July 2015 to February 2020. Farah's research experience includes roles as Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanolithography at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nonlinear Optics at the University of Maryland, focusing on innovative nanofabrication techniques and material development. Farah's academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Penn State University and a B.A. in Chemistry/Math from Concordia College, along with experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant at UNICEF.
