Kathryne Woodle is an experienced education program leader currently serving as Education Programs Lead and Senior Program Manager at the American Physical Society since June 2015. With a background in scientific community engagement, including a fellowship at the Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement, Kathryne has demonstrated a commitment to diversity and mentoring, evidenced by roles such as mentor in the Upward Bound Math and Science Program and President of Penn State Physics and Astronomy for Women. Additionally, leadership in organizing significant conferences, including the American Physical Society Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics, showcases strong organizational and fundraising skills. Kathryne holds a Ph.D. in Particle Astrophysics and a Master’s Degree in Education from Penn State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Grinnell College.
