Michael Wittmann

Michael Wittmann's work experience includes serving as the Head of Education at the American Physical Society since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Researcher at Physics Education Research starting in 1995. Michael also served at the University of Maine as an Assistant, then Associate, and finally a full Professor from January 2001 until August 2022. Additionally, they worked as a DJ at WMEB 91.9 FM from an unspecified start date until September 2014.

Michael Wittmann received their Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Duke University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Michael then pursued further education at the University of Maryland, earning a Master of Science and a Doctorate in Physics from 1993 to 1998.
