Stephen Bartlett

Stephen Bartlett is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of physics, currently serving as the Director of The University of Sydney Nano Institute and as a Professor of Physics. In addition, Stephen holds the position of Associate Dean Research in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. Stephen has contributed significantly to the scientific community as the Lead Editor of PRX Quantum for the American Physical Society since July 2020, and as an Independent Board member at Quantum Australia. As a Board Member of the Sydney Quantum Academy and a Chief Investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems, Stephen has been involved in cutting-edge quantum research initiatives. Stephen's extensive experience includes previous roles at Quantum Benchmark Inc. as a Scientific Advisor, as well as postdoctoral positions at the University of Queensland and Macquarie University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physics from the University of Toronto and a BSc in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
