David Humphreys M.D.

David Humphreys MD is a seasoned psychiatrist with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving at Midland Behavioral Health since April 2011 and as Chief of Section of Psychiatry at St. Mary's Medical Center since January 2002, David has also held the position of Staff Psychiatrist at River Park Hospital since July 1989, where David previously acted as Medical Director from 1999 to 2010. As a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association since January 2018 and former President of the Cabell County Medical Association in 2019, David is recognized for significant contributions to psychiatry. A retired psychiatrist and flight surgeon with the United States Air Force from June 1975 to January 1997, David holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Oregon School of Health Care Sciences and completed a Psychiatry Residency Program at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center.
