Emily Ekle

Emily Ekle has over 17 years of work experience in the publishing industry. Emily currently serves as the Director of Editorial Acquisitions at the American Psychological Association, where they lead book acquisitions for multiple product lines and manages a team of editors. Prior to this, Emily worked as a Senior Acquisitions Editor at Elsevier from 2012 to 2018. Emily also held positions as an Acquisitions Editor at Thieme Publishers from 2010 to 2012, and at Jones and Bartlett Publishers from 2004 to 2009. Emily's early career involved teaching as a Writing Instructor at Emerson College from 2001 to 2003.

Emily Ekle completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University in 2000. Emily then pursued a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from Emerson College, completing it in 2003.
