Karen Studwell

Karen Studwell has extensive experience in advocacy and government relations, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Advocacy Officer for Strategy and Operations at the American Psychological Association since October 2001. Previous roles at the American Psychological Association include Senior Legislative and Federal Affairs Officer and Associate Executive Director for Government Relations within the Education Directorate. Prior to this, Karen worked as a Governmental Affairs Associate at the National Health Council and as a Legislative Specialist for Health Care Policy at Smith, Bucklin and Associates. Karen holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seattle University School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from Ohio University.
