Leyla McCurdy

Advisory Board, APHA Center For Climate, Health And Equity at American Public Health Association

Leyla McCurdy is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in environmental health and climate initiatives. Currently serving on the Advisory Board for the APHA Center for Climate, Health and Equity, Leyla also holds leadership positions such as Chair of the Environment Section of the Children's Environmental Health Committee and involvement with the National Environmental Health Partnership Council. As Chair of the Climate for Health Leadership Circle and Senior Advisor at ecoAmerica, Leyla has significantly contributed to climate initiatives since 2017. With a consulting role at Health and Environment Consulting since 2015, Leyla specializes in strategic planning, communication, outreach, and policy analysis. Additional leadership includes board membership at the Children's Environmental Health Network and prior roles at the National Environmental Education Foundation and American Lung Association. Leyla holds a Master of Philosophy in Chemistry from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Middle East Technical University.
