Melanie Renate

Melanie Renate is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in radio broadcasting, production, and community engagement. Currently serving as National Host and Producer for YourClassical at American Public Media Group since February 2017, Melanie produces and hosts the 6-hour program "Music Through the Night," featuring a diverse range of classical music. Previous roles at American Public Media include producing the "YourClassical Adventures" podcast and coordinating nearly 700 active volunteers. Prior experience at WXOW News 19 involved producing and reporting for newscasts, while roles at AmeriCorps NCCC and Cumulus Media included leadership in community relations and on-air hosting. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Global and International Studies from Western Michigan University and continues to enhance skills at The Groundlings Theatre & School and through writing coursework with Sean Hogan.
