Karen McCuistion

Karen McCuistion currently serves as the AQHA Senior Director of Member Programs at the American Quarter Horse Association, overseeing various equine programs since April 2017. In addition, McCuistion has been a licensed equine appraiser with the American Society of Equine Appraisers since December 2012. McCuistion's extensive experience includes roles as a licensed show steward since 1989 and a licensed judge in multiple associations, showcasing a deep commitment to equine management and governance. Previously, McCuistion owned McCuistion Quarter Horses from November 1985 to April 2022 and has contributed significantly to the equine community through various positions held since the early 1980s. McCuistion holds an AAS in Equine Management from Laramie County Community College and has continued to foster a strong dedication to the equine industry.
