Maryam Zehra is the Founder and President of the Maryam Library Foundation, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit established to support education in underserved communities in Africa and India by building libraries. Since its inception in 2021, the foundation has successfully built nine libraries and completed 40 libraries in Kenya, providing 50,000 books to underprivileged communities. In addition to foundation work, Maryam serves on the Blood Services Committee of the American Red Cross, organizing blood drives and educational workshops. Maryam also holds the position of Canteen Supervisor at the Stanford Blood Center, overseeing donor care. As Operations Lead for HOSA at The Harker School, leadership involves managing fundraising efforts and events. Other roles include the Initiative Director for the Middle Eastern Student Association, Vice President of the Japanese National Honor Society, and participation in various medical shadowing experiences and volunteer activities focused on literacy and community service. Maryam Zehra is currently pursuing education at UCLA.
