Jodie (Schwarz) Goldberg has a diverse range of work experience in the field of fundraising and marketing. Jodie has held various positions in different organizations, starting with their role as a Senior Foundation Relations Coordinator at The Wilderness Society from 2005 to 2008. Jodie then worked as a Foundation Relations Associate and later as a Foundation Relations Manager at the same organization until 2010.

In 2013, Jodie joined the American Red Cross as a Manager of Foundation Strategy, where they managed a team and created fundraising strategies for the organization's top prospects and donors.

Following their time at the American Red Cross, Jodie worked as an Officer of Philanthropic Partnerships for Environmental Initiatives at The Pew Charitable Trusts from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they were responsible for raising millions of dollars for the organization's environmental programs.

In 2015, Jodie became a Board Member of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards, where they also served as the head of the Development Committee. Jodie played a significant role in fundraising, strategic planning, and developing operating procedures for the organization.

Since 2016, Jodie has been working at American Rivers, initially as the Director of Development for Foundations, then as a Managing Director of Foundation Relations (Director Level 1), and currently as a Managing Director of Foundation Relations (Director Level 2).

Jodie started their career as a Marketing Coordinator at the National Insulation Association in 1998 and later worked at The Nature Conservancy in various marketing roles, including Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Associate for Planned Giving.

Jodie (Schwarz) Goldberg has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended Cave Spring High School from 1991 to 1994. In terms of additional certifications, Jodie has completed the Essential Facilitation course at the Interaction Institute for Social Change in October 2019 and the Certificate of Completion in Management Skills for New Managers program at the American Management Association in February 2014.
