Katie Guetz

Katie Guetz is an experienced environmental professional with a focus on river restoration and watershed management. Currently serving as the Director of River Restoration - Dam Removal for American Rivers since February 2024, Katie previously worked as a Stewardship Associate for the Teton Regional Land Trust in Eastern Idaho and contributed to groundwater research at the Gallatin Local Water Quality District. Prior roles include a Hydrologic Technician with the U.S. Forest Service and various research and teaching positions at Northern Arizona University, including serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant. Katie holds a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences from Montana State University-Bozeman.
