Markus Proctor has a diverse work experience spanning from 2010 to the present. Markus started as an intern at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they worked on projects such as the Greenland Rover and the GPM Satellite. Markus later became a research intern, conducting a feasibility study on magnetic levitation. In 2014, they founded EduPal, Inc., a platform designed to help college students manage their time effectively. Markus then moved on to Innovators of Progress, where they served as the Executive Director, starting in 2019. In 2016, they joined American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) as a web developer before progressing to roles such as systems developer, IT manager, and most recently, Director of Technology & Information Security. Additionally, Markus Proctor has also served as a board member for MAGIC since 2022.

Markus Proctor has a solid educational background and a broad range of certifications. Markus obtained their Master's degree in Technology Management from Georgetown University between 2020 and 2022. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2016, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Technology Entrepreneurship and Organizational Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Markus completed their high school education at Charles Herbert Flowers High School from 2008 to 2012, where they received a High School Diploma with a double major in Engineering and Finance.

Furthermore, Markus Proctor has also obtained various certifications to further enhance their skills and expertise. Markus completed the "Cert Prep: Project Management Professional (PMP)" course from LinkedIn in December 2020, along with the "Project Management Professional (PMP)" certification from the Project Management Institute during the same month and year. In addition, they received a Graduate Certificate in Lean & Agile Practices from Georgetown University in May 2020.
