Dar Khalighi

Dar joined American Seafoods in 1990 when the company was transitioning rapidly from a startup to a fast-paced, dynamic, and vibrant fishing company in need of emerging information systems to support its fast growth. In a relatively short time, he transformed the technology infrastructure, which was limited to a few stand-alone and disjointed desktop computers, to a centralized network of many computers sharing data and resources in the corporate office and on the vessels and helped build software in support of various business functions. Since then, he has progressively advanced to his current leadership position where he built the best-in-industry Technology Department with a strong technical and business savvy IT team.

As the Chief Information Officer, Dar partners with the executive team to develop and implement a comprehensive and strategic technology roadmap for the company, with an eye on advances in technology to help with business continuity and to safeguard the security and integrity of the company’s information systems.
