Inge Andreassen has been the president of American Seafoods since 2005 and oversees all company activities. His in-depth knowledge of at-sea production and expert administrative, management, and leadership skills make him one of the most highly regarded and uniquely qualified operations executives in the industry today. From 1996 to 2005, Inge served as vice president of operations of American Seafoods and its predecessor company, where he oversaw the seafood production and logistics for up to 15 factory trawlers operating in the Bering Sea and the Pacific Ocean. From 1995 to 1996, as the director of operations, he oversaw purchasing, in-port vessel management, and production. Prior to 1995, Inge spent 12 years working as a fisherman aboard factory trawlers in Norway and in the Bering Sea. During that time, he worked from deckhand up to factory manager, where he supervised up to 150 workers and managed all aspects of seafood processing; quality control; freezing, storing, and shipping operations; and maintenance.
