Director, Quality Initiatives And Health Policy at American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)

Liz Waibel, MPH has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Liz currently holds the position of Director of Quality Initiatives and Health Policy at the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In this role, Liz is responsible for overseeing the National Pathology Quality Registry project, which focuses on improving patient safety and quality care. Additionally, they play a crucial role in key policy areas such as the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule and the Medicare Quality Payment Program. Prior to joining ASCP, Liz worked as a Senior Associate at Avalere Health and as a Health Plan Compliance Analyst at Denver Health Medical Plan, Inc. Liz also served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Colorado Denver, Anschutz Medical Campus, and interned at the Governor's Office of Policy and Research and the Colorado Association of Local Public Health Officials. Liz began their career as a Histocompatability Technologist at ClinImmune Labs.

Liz Waibel, MPH has a strong education background in public health and biology/chemistry. From 2010 to 2013, they attended the University of Colorado Denver, where they earned a Master's of Public Health degree with a focus on Health Systems Management and Policy. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, Liz attended Northern Arizona University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology/Chemistry.
