Mariah Bower

Mariah Bower is an experienced professional in the field of public health and nutrition, currently serving as the Awards Program Lead and Engagement and Membership Specialist at the American Society for Nutrition since January 2021. In the role of Awards Program Lead, Mariah collaborates with high-level stakeholders to secure funding and manage the awards process, including the organization of the annual awards ceremony. As an Engagement and Membership Specialist, Mariah promotes member engagement and develops opportunities for revenue generation while coordinating educational programming. Previous experience includes a student internship at East Carolina University, where Mariah worked with dieticians to implement health education programs, and roles in customer service at Angus Grill and Chicos Mexican Restaurant. Mariah holds a Master of Arts in Public Health Education and Promotion and a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from East Carolina University.
