Dr. Dovie D. Williams

Director Of Community Events at American Society for Public Administration

Dr. Dovie D. Williams, PhD, serves as the Director of Community Events and Chair of the Section on Public Law and Administration at the American Society for Public Administration since 2009, overseeing meetings, budgeting, fundraising, and event management. Additional leadership roles include serving as the National Council District V Representative and a Student Representative for the Section on Women in Public Administration. Prior experience includes a position as a Board Member for the San Diego Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board, focusing on service delivery and community education related to substance abuse. Dr. Williams holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Public Policy and Administration from Walden University and an MA in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Educational background also includes a Master of Science in Education from Hofstra University and a Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts from California State University-Dominguez Hills.
