Global Outreach & Advocacy Manager at American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy

Sam Kay is the current Global Outreach & Advocacy Manager at American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy. Prior to this, Sam held the position of Advocacy Manager with Executive Director, Inc. from May 2019 to July 2020. In this role, Sam was responsible for project management of Annual Meeting workshops, advertising, job board, publications and government relations committees for ASGCT. From March 2017 to May 2019, Sam was Program Manager at Executive Director, Inc., overseeing similar projects. Prior to Executive Director, Inc., Sam worked as a Field Organizer with the League of Conservation Voters from December 2015 to December 2016. In this role, Sam executed a volunteer organizing and issue advocacy campaign to engage WLCV and LCV members as volunteers and activists in environmental issue advocacy, earned media and grassroots lobbying activities. From June 2015 to November 2015, Sam was Field Manager at TPT - Twin Cities PBS. Prior to TPT - Twin Cities PBS, Sam worked as a Lifeguard with the Milwaukee County Parks Department from June 2009 to August 2014 and as Seasonal Staff with Hunger Task Force from August 2007 to August 2012.

Sam Kay pursued a Bachelor of Arts at Ripon College, focusing on politics and government, philosophy, and history.
