Currently serving as Deputy Executive Director of the American Society of Hematology since March 2003, Matthew previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer at both the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors from 2000 to 2003 and the National Association of Life Underwriters from 1987 to 1999. Early career experience includes a supervisory role at Duty Free Shoppers from 1982 to 1984. Matthew's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Marketing from The George Washington University School of Business, along with ongoing executive education at Harvard Business School since 2018.
