Grace Pender

Grace Pender is currently serving as an ASPB Plantae Fellow at the American Society of Plant Biologists, a prestigious honor awarded to only 25 scientists globally. In parallel, Grace is pursuing a PhD in Botany/Plant Biology at University College Dublin, focusing on the genetics of plant architecture in Cannabis sativa, under the guidance of Dr. Susanne Schilling and Dr. Rainer Melzer. Grace is a recipient of the IRC Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship and previously interned at Acclimatize and the UCD Flower Power lab, where a Crawford Hayes bursary facilitated undergraduate research. Grace also holds a BS in Genetics from University College Dublin and completed secondary education at Loreto High School Beaufort.
