Chris Morton, FCPE, LEED AP has extensive experience in the construction industry. Chris began their career at Parsons, where they worked as a Chief Estimator from 1990 to 1998. After that, they joined Porter Construction as Chief Estimator from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they worked at Howell Construction as a Senior Estimator, managing preconstruction and estimating from 2000 to 2021.
In 2003, Chris became President of ASPE Denver Chapter 5, overseeing the day-to-day operations and representing the chapter at regional and national meetings. Chris served in this role until 2005 when they became the Northwest Region Governor for the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE). In this position, they facilitated communication between eight ASPE chapters and the Board of Trustees. Chris'stenure as Northwest Region Governor lasted from 2005 to 2009.
From 2006 to 2012, Chris served as a Board Member for the Constructors & Designers Alliance (CDA), representing ASPE Denver Chapter 5. During this time, they participated in quarterly board meetings and various committees. In 2012, they became President of ASPE Denver Chapter 5 once again, serving until 2013.
In 2013, Chris took on leadership roles at the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) on a national level. Chris served as the National Treasurer until 2019, then became the National 1st Vice President until 2021. As of 2021, Chris has retired from their professional career.
Chris Morton received their Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Engineering (Construction Option) from the University of Colorado Boulder, completing their education from 1968 to 1972. Chris further obtained several certifications, including Fellow Certified Professional Estimator (FCPE) from the American Society of Professional Estimators in July 2016, LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) from the USGBC in April 2007, and Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) from the American Society of Professional Estimators in February 2004.
