Jason Newland is an experienced EHS Leader at GE Aviation since June 2021, with a background in safety engineering and risk assessment. Currently serving as Treasurer and Web Master for the American Society of Safety Engineers since 2012, Jason previously held roles at Honda Manufacturing of Indiana as a Safety Engineer, focusing on risk assessments and developing safety policies. Jason's early career includes positions at General Electric and EDAC Technologies, where responsibilities ranged from production assembly to EHS technician duties. With a Master of Science in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology from Purdue University, Jason has a solid educational foundation complemented by extensive industry experience.

The American Society of Safety Professionals is a global association for occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals. Since 1911, we have supported OSH professionals in their efforts to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities. We provide education, advocacy, standards development and a professional community to our members in order to advance their careers and the OSH profession as a whole.
