Janet McNichol, SPHR, CAE has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Janet began their career in 1988 as a Benefits Assistant at Navy Federal Credit Union. In 1989, they joined TAD Technical Services Corporation as a Technical Recruiter. Janet's next significant role was with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), where they served as Human Resources Director from February 1990 to February 2022. Janet then assumed the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at ASHA in February 2022. In 2011, they became the President of Inside Workplace Wellness. Throughout their career, Janet has demonstrated expertise in human resources and leadership roles.
Janet McNichol, SPHR, CAE has a strong educational background and numerous certifications. Janet obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University in 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, from 1984 to 1987.
Aside from their educational achievements, Janet McNichol also holds several certifications. Janet received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021. In 2015, they obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). In 2010, they earned the CAE (Certified Association Executive) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership. Janet McNichol's earliest certification is the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources), which they obtained from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in May 1995.
