Lisa Simpson, CMP has significant experience in the events and meetings industry. Lisa began their career as a Meetings Coordinator at Dobson & Associates from 1997 to 1999. Lisa then worked as an Exhibits Coordinator at the National Automobile Dealers Association from 1999 to 2000. Lisa then joined the Water Environment Federation as a Meetings Manager from 2000 to 2002. Lisa then became the Director of Meetings & Conventions at USTelecom - The Broadband Association from 2002 to 2004.

In 2004, Lisa joined the American Staffing Association and held various roles. Lisa started as the Director of Meetings and Events from 2004 to 2015, where they managed all logistical aspects for the annual Convention, including site selection, contract negotiations, and budget preparation. Lisa then became the Senior Director of Meetings and Events from 2015 to 2020, before being promoted to Vice President of Events and Supplier Relations in June 2020.

Throughout their career, Lisa has demonstrated expertise in event planning, supplier relations, budget management, and on-site event management.

Lisa Simpson, CMP has a B.S. degree in Mass Communications from Towson University, which they obtained between 1995 and 1997. In January 2019, they also obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council.
