Prior to that, they worked at American Student Assistance for over 15 years in various roles, including Director of Consumer Outreach and Compliance. In this role, they led advocacy efforts, ensured compliance with federal statutes and regulations, and created awareness of loan forgiveness programs. Betsy also established ASA Center for Consumer Advocacy's social media presence and served as a keynote speaker at conferences worldwide.
