Afreen Ahmed

Afreen Ahmed currently serves in multiple roles with the American Student Dental Association, including ASDA New York State Licensure Liaison and District 2 Diversity and Inclusion Chair since April 2019. Additional leadership positions include ASDA District 2 Professional Issues and Ethics Chair, District 2 Cabinet Pre-Dental Chair, and representation on the NYSDA Council on Ethics. Concurrently, Afreen holds the position of Audio Visual Coordinator for Students of Dentistry since June 2021. Prior experience includes entrepreneurial work with The Reconstruction Project, internships at DentalFlashGo and the New York University College of Dentistry's Biomaterials Laboratory, and dental internships at Lewis Chen, D.D.S., Ace Dental Center, and leadership roles such as President of the Benedictine University Dental ASDA. Afreen's academic achievements include a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University, a Master of Science in Oral Biology, and a Bachelor's degree in Health Science with Business Applications from Benedictine University.
