Previously, Galloway served as Production Editor for Transport Topics, focusing on publication design alongside writing and editing responsibilities. From 1979 to 1990, Galloway was the Editor and Publisher of Kansas Horseman magazine, and from 1980 to 1987, held the position of Art Director for Kansas Business News and Simmental Shield. Galloway earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English/Journalism from Wichita State University, complemented by postgraduate studies in history and journalism.
