Heather Couch

Heather Couch is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in government programs and technical writing, currently serving as the Director of Government Programs at ATCC since February 2007. In this role, Heather oversees the budget, schedule, and technical performance of six FDA programs while managing a team of Technical Writers. Previous positions at ATCC include Program Manager II, Program Manager, and Lead Technical Writer, during which Heather provided guidance to Technical Writers, established authentication specifications for product quality control, and resolved scientific issues. Heather's academic background includes a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from Western University, complemented by postdoctoral experiences at Dartmouth College, George Mason University, and Rice University, where research focused on proteins and antibiotic targets.
