Petra Merhy

Petra Merhy, PhD, currently serves as the Graphic Design Coordinator and Assistant Professor at American University in Dubai since January 2024. Previously, Petra held the position of Instructor of Graphic Design at Zayed University from January 2020 to December 2023, where responsibilities included supervising student projects, developing the graphic design program, and teaching various courses related to design and professional practices. With a solid academic foundation, including a PhD in Arts & Science of Arts and multiple degrees in Graphic Design & Visual Communication from Lebanese University, Petra has extensive experience in both educational and practical applications of graphic design, having also worked as an Online Social Media Specialist and Graphic Designer at Microbits and held teaching roles at other institutions, such as Al Kafaat University and Lebanese University.
