Alison Freeland

Alison Freeland is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Senior Communications Advisor and Communications Director for North America at the American University of Beirut since May 2017. In this role, Alison oversees communications strategy, press relations, and media development. An independent producer for Public Radio since 2003, Alison develops story ideas and produces broadcast content. From January 2003 to July 2016, Alison held the position of Director of Marketing & Communications at Greens Farms Academy, where full responsibility for the school's communications program was managed. Prior experience includes serving as Director of Communications at TogetherSoft from June 2000 to June 2002, focusing on enhancing company awareness, and as a reporter for the Southern Vermont region at Vermont Public Radio from August 1995 to June 2000. Alison holds a B.A. in English and American Literature from Brown University.
