Joseph Otayek

Joseph Otayek is the current Medical Center Director at AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT. Joseph has held this position since July 2011. Prior to that, they were the CEO of Hotel Dieu Hospital from November 1994 to July 2011. Joseph also worked as a business development manager at Eastman Kodak from July 1988 to November 1994. Before that, they were with Apis Health Consulting Group. Joseph started their professional career as a field engineer at Foundex SNC from November 1984 to September 1987. Joseph also worked as the manager of the ambulances fleet at Lebanese Red Cross from May 1982 to October 1987.

Joseph Otayek has a MBA from INSEAD, a DESS in biomedical engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), a B.Eng. in mechanical engineering from American University of Beirut, and a diploma in elementary mathematics from College Notre Dame de Jamhour.

Joseph Otayek reports to Fadlo R. Khuri, President. They are on a team with Zaher Dawy - Provost, Mary Jaber Nachar - VP for Administration & Chief of Staff, and Yousif Asfour - Chief Innovation & Transformation Officer.
