Rania Hussein

Director Of Strategic Planning And Process Improvement at AMERICAN UNIVERSITY OF BEIRUT

Rania Hussein has extensive work experience in strategic planning, process improvement, and risk management in the healthcare industry. Rania most recently worked at the American University of Beirut as the Director of Strategic Planning and Process Improvement. Prior to that, they held roles as the Process Improvement Manager and Executive Administrator at the same institution. Rania has also served as the Director of Quality & Risk Management at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital and the Risk Manager at the International Medical Center. Rania has experience implementing quality and risk management programs, preparing for accreditation surveys, and coordinating activities to enhance patient safety. Additionally, Rania has worked as the QI Director at Dr. Ghassan N. Pharaon (GNP) Hospital and as the TQM Coordinator at Dr. Erfan & Bagedo Hospital. Rania has also worked as a course instructor at the College of Business Administration (CBA).

Rania Hussein holds a Master's Degree in Public Health - Health Services Administration from the American University of Beirut, which they earned between 1994 and 1999. Rania also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Sociology from the same university, completing it between 1994 and 1997. Additionally, Rania has obtained several certifications including Certified KPI Professional from The KPI Institute in 2015, Certified Hospital Surveyor from the American Institute for Healthcare Quality in February 2014, and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the Healthcare Quality Certification Commission (HQCC) in 2009.
