Shafik Houeidi

Shafik Houeidi is currently an Organizer Lead and Event Manager for GDG on Campus at the American University of Beirut, where responsibilities include overseeing event operations. In addition, Shafik is engaged in a research internship focusing on 3D reconstruction, involving data collection and synchronization using advanced sensor technologies. Previous experience includes work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, exploring artificial intelligence in security orchestration, and as a Teaching Assistant for a Data Structures course in C++. Shafik's professional background also features a role as an Automation and Design Optimization Engineer at Ubilite, where efforts were directed towards circuit block automation for wireless communication solutions. Early entrepreneurial experience includes founding Ghradak Wasli aa Beitak, a successful delivery company known for its exemplary on-time delivery rate. Shafik is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer and Communications Engineering at the American University of Beirut, expected to graduate in May 2025.
