Casey Wouters

Casey Wouters is currently a Graduate Research Assistant in the Haynes Lab of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, a position held since August 2021. In addition to research responsibilities, Casey has served as a Teaching Assistant for analytical chemistry courses during the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. Casey is also a Graduate Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation from September 2022 to August 2025. Prior experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Rice Lab at the University of Oklahoma, focusing on experiments related to bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Analytical Chemistry (2021-2026) and a Master of Science in Chemistry (2021-2023) from the University of Minnesota, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma (2017-2021), and a study abroad experience at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL in 2019. Casey graduated with a High School Diploma from Grapevine High School in 2017.
