Sokunthea Hang

Sokunthea Hang has a range of work experience in various roles and industries. Sokunthea started their career as a Reporter at the Phnom Penh Post in 2013, where they worked until 2014. Sokunthea then moved on to Jutland Station, where they were a Reporter from 2014 to 2015. In 2016, they joined The Cambodia Daily as a Business Reporter, working there until 2017. During this time, they also began their teaching career at Pañāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) as a Lecturer of Communication and Media Studies, eventually becoming the Assistant Dean & Lecturer before leaving in 2021. Sokunthea Hang also worked as an Independent Consultant from 2016 to 2023. In 2018, they joined Belt Road Capital Management as an Investment Analyst and later became a Research Manager. Their most recent role is as the Head of Marketing and Admission at the American University of Phnom Penh, starting in 2023.

Sokunthea HANG has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Communication and Media Studies from Pannasastra University of Cambodia, which was earned between 2009 and 2014. They also pursued a Joint Masters (MA) Erasmus Mundus in Journalism, Media & Globalization at Aarhus University from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they completed a Joint Masters (MA) Erasmus Mundus in Business and Finance Journalism at City, University of London from 2015 to 2016. Moreover, they obtained certifications in "MBA in a Box: Business Lessons from a CEO" from 365 Careers on Udemy in 2019 and "Bloomberg Market Concepts" from Bloomberg LP.
