Alexander Golub

Alexander Golub is a Senior Research Fellow and Professor at American University, where courses focus on Environmental Risks Assessment and Climate Risks and Economics, alongside research on Policy Instruments for Environmental Protection. As a consultant for GC, Golub conducts quantitative analyses for the Environmental Defense Fund, specifically in relation to REDD+ and global environmental markets. Previously, as Executive Director at UBS Investment Bank, Golub developed new products and performed quantitative analyses in climate policy and investment strategies. Serving as Senior Economist at the Environmental Defense Fund, Golub conducted comparative analyses of economic instruments in energy and environmental policy. Earlier experience includes a research fellowship at Harvard University, where modeling of reforestation potential in Russia was conducted. Golub holds a Master's degree in Mathematical Economics from Moscow State University.
