Arthur Swift

Arthur Swift serves as the Chief Communications Officer for the District of Columbia Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking, appointed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to manage all communications for the agency since March 2022. Additionally, Arthur teaches courses in Public Speaking for Professionals at Georgetown University and holds a position as Senior Adjunct Professorial Lecturer at American University, where coursework includes Public Communication and Crisis Communications. Previous roles include Managing Director of Corporate Communications at Agility, Chief of Content and Public Relations at Gallup, and Vice President at The Herald Group, among others. Arthur's educational background features master's degrees in Journalism and American History from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in History from Boston College.
