Arturo C. Porzecanski

Arturo C. Porzecanski, PhD, is a distinguished academic and expert in international finance, economics, and Latin American politics, serving as a Research Fellow at the Center for Latin American & Latino Studies at American University since August 2005. Currently, Arturo holds multiple positions, including Distinguished Economist in Residence and Director of the International Economic Relations Program at Emerging Markets Investors Alliance, and Global Fellow at The Wilson Center. Arturo’s extensive experience includes advisory roles such as a Board Member for the Tinker Foundation and the President’s Advisory Commission on Hispanic Prosperity. Previous roles include Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Adjunct Professor at notable institutions like Columbia University and New York University. Arturo earned a PhD and a Master's in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor's degree from Whittier College.
