Calvin Haney

Calvin Haney has extensive experience in higher education and student engagement, currently serving as the Associate Director of Alumni Relations and the Associate Director of Multicultural and Affinity Engagement at American University since November 2012. In these roles, Calvin develops strategies for affinity groups, maintains a volunteer leadership pipeline, and supports inclusive excellence initiatives. Previous positions include the Associate Director of Student Engagement in the Office of Campus Life, focusing on student programs and retention, and the Associate Director of Leadership Development at University Centers & Student Activities, emphasizing diversity and leadership training. Additionally, Calvin has held roles at Northern Virginia Community College and Yale University, contributing to diversity initiatives and student organization management. Calvin's educational background includes a Master’s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs from George Mason University.
