Connie Souto Learman

Connie Souto Learman, MBA, Ph.D, CCEP, currently serves as the Assistant Dean of Faculty Relations at American University, a position held since August 2025. Previously, Connie held significant compliance leadership roles at Food for the Hungry, Inc., where oversight of global compliance initiatives across 20+ countries was key, and at Opportunity International, directing adherence to international regulations. Additional experience includes serving as Principal Advisor for compliance issues at World Vision USA and various leadership positions in arts and human resources organizations. Academic credentials encompass a Ph.D. in Political Science from Universitat de Barcelona, an MBA from Millsaps College, and multiple degrees in law and marketing from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco.
