Shelly D'Amico

Shelly D'Amico has extensive experience in communications and human resources. Shelly began their career at Human Genome Sciences, where they served as a Communications Specialist I and II. In these roles, they improved company-wide communication through the implementation of a company-wide intranet and achieved recognition for establishing the intranet as the primary source of information. Shelly also ensured daily communications to engage and inform employees about company news and events.

Later, D'Amico joined American University as an Assistant Director of HR Communications, where they expanded HR communications to engage and empower faculty and staff. Shelly collaborated with HR leaders to create and execute messaging that aligned with the university's branding and guidelines. Shelly then advanced to the role of Director of HR Communications, where they led a team responsible for a comprehensive communications calendar supporting various HR programs. Additionally, they served on cross-functional teams addressing campus initiatives and challenges.

Shelly D'Amico holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from the University of Arizona.
