Tom Wells

Tom Wells is an experienced mortgage finance professional currently serving as a Mortgage Finance Instructor at the Mortgage Bankers Association since May 2024, and as an Adjunct Instructor at both Hood College and American University since January and August 2024, respectively. Wells has a strong background in mortgage credit risk management and strategic consulting as a Senior Consultant at Gate House Strategies LLC since September 2021. Previous experience includes teaching home buying courses at Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc. from March 2022 to December 2023, and a long tenure at Freddie Mac from 1989 to 2019, where positions included Senior Director of Client Credit Management. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University and Executive Leadership Training from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
