Wendy Simmons is a highly experienced healthcare professional with a diverse background in nursing and surgical coordination. Since January 2006, Wendy has served as an ASC Manager and Ophthalmic Nurse at American Vision Partners, specializing in circulating RN roles and preoperative/Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) duties, including IV infusions. Wendy also held the position of Director of Nursing at Cottonwood Day Surgery from November 2020 to February 2022, and worked as a Registered Nurse at Thrive Skilled Pediatric Care for a brief period in 2020. Prior nursing experience includes roles as a Registered Nurse, Charge Nurse, Surgical Coordinator, and Surgical Tech at Southwestern Eye Center from January 2006 to November 2020, and as a Surgical Tech/Administrator at Cottonwood Verde Valley Eye Surgery Center from January 2003 to December 2005. Wendy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University from January 2020 to August 2022, along with previous education at Yavapai College and Mingus Union High School.
