Steven Coyle

Director of Federal Affairs, Offshore Wind at American Wind Energy Association

Steven Coyle is the current Director of Federal Affairs for Offshore Wind at the American Wind Energy Association. Steven has over seven years of experience working in various capacities in the political arena.

Coyle began their career as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congresswoman Kathleen Rice (D-NY) from January 2015 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for researching and writing legislation, as well as communicating with constituents.

From May 2014 to December 2014, Coyle worked as a Finance Assistant for Kathleen Rice for Congress. In this role, they managed fundraising efforts and helped to plan campaign events.

In November 2013, Coyle took a position as a Prep Cook at The Milleridge Inn. Steven held this position until February 2014, when they began working as a Talking Points Writer for the Clinton Global Initiative. Coyle also interned for the Clinton Global Initiative in their Government Relations department from May 2013 to September 2013.

From January 2013 to May 2013, Coyle interned in public relations at Ceisler Media & Issue Advocacy. In this role, they assisted with media outreach and developed content for social media platforms.

In May 2012, Coyle began working as a Customer Relations Specialist at Luxottica. Steven held this position until August 2012, when they became a Stagiaire for Vice President Dr. Libor Roucek at the European Parliament from September 2011 to

Steven Coyle has a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Joseph's University in Political Science Major and International Relations Minor. Steven also has a U.S. Program in European Studies from the Leuven Institute for Ireland in Europe. Lastly, they have an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors from Bethpage High School.
